A Generic Recipe Making Process

Creative Cooking and recipe making is the dynamic process of coming out with great culinary creations.

Creative Cooking is not different from any other form of project management. Although there are no hard and fast rules, a creative project often includes the following stages:

    1. Setting the objective. Here is where we decide what do we want to achieve. Note: we can use the Note section of the Recipe Book to set the object. See screenshot below.notes11.jpg
    2. Research. This is the part where we review our resources. This is the part where we go out to find out whether the necessary ingredients are available.
    3. Concept development. Here is where we start experimenting. In this phase, we get down to the actual cooking itself. Note: If we like, we can start to key in the initial drafts into the Ingredients and Instructions section of the Talking Recipe Book. If the photo of the dish is available, we can add it into the Pic section. See the screenshot below.

    4. Recipe refinement. During the previous stage (concept development phase), we have drafted out the basic framework for the recipe. In this stage, we proceed to refine the recipe. For example, should we add more spices. should the temperature be adjusted are some examples of considerations for refinement. Note: At this stage, we will be making further changes and refinements and inputting them into the Talking Recipe Book. The section that will be most heavily modified will be the Ingredients and Instructions section.

In our opinion, these stages are just general guidelines. The actual process is usually more dynamic and involves jumping back and forth among the stages.

Please understand that this is not a definitive guide. It is just a general process that can be adopted if the user wishes to do so.
