Fresh Boiled Asparagus

Asparagus is a wonderful vegetable. Originally from the Western Hemisphere, this plant can be grown elsewhere as well. Eating asparagus has many health benefits. It is said to be beneficial to the bladder, gastrointestinal tract and the colon. For women, it helps in reducing menstrual cramps. Asparagus can assist the body in detoxification.

This is a free and very simple recipe for preparing asparagus. Here is the online recipe method:

1. Cut the asparagus pieces at the end of their stem. Clean and soak them in water. Pour away the water.

2. Put the asparagus pieces in a pot. Put in several bowls of water. Add in half a teaspoon of salt. Sea salt will be nice.

3. Boil water in a gradual heat. Allow to boil for a minute or so. Then turn off the heat.

4. Take asparagus out of the pot. Discard away the water.

The asparagus is ready for serving. This recipe should take only a while to prepare. It is worthwhile as the benefits of asparagus are quite significant.
